About me
Joanna Pyczek MSc
I hold a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and am an osteopath. I graduated from the University School of Physical Education in Kraków and the Academy of Osteopathy in Poznań. I began my journey in physiotherapy working with athletes. I served as a medical therapist for teams such as the Polish First League men’s volleyball team AZS AGH Kraków, the Polish Second League women’s volleyball team KS Bronowianka Kraków, the Polish Second League men’s basketball team AZS AGH Alstom Kraków, and the Polish U-17 Olympic weightlifting national team. Through this work, I gained extensive experience and learned how to help patients effectively and efficiently. After this intensive period, I decided to step back from frequent travel and settle in Kraków, where I founded Pracownia Zdrowia Joanny Pyczek — a clinic focused on physiotherapy, osteopathy, and stress reduction. For 10 years, I trained competitively in swimming, which taught me how essential a healthy, well-functioning body truly is. I competed in national and international events and became a finalist at the Polish Championships. At the age of 16 — after seven years of intensive training — I was diagnosed with discopathy (disc protrusion) in two segments of my spine caused by overload. I was qualified for surgery; however, thanks to effective physiotherapy, I regained my health and full function. I avoided surgery and returned to sport in a short time. Just six months later, I competed again in the national championships. Every illness and every injury can take us out of everyday life. Both at work and in sport, we need a healthy, capable body. That is why today, as a physiotherapist, I want to help people better manage their health problems and show them how to prevent them in the future. And that is my mission.
